Dental Feat Opens Press Release Submissions for Canada’s Dental Industry
Suppliers, associations, software companies and clinics can submit announcements for review, with clear labels on every release.
October 7, 2026. Dental Feat (dentalfeat.com), a Canadian dental news and business publication, today opened its Press section to announcements from the dental industry. Dental suppliers, software and service providers, associations, schools and clinics can submit news for review, and accepted items will be published with a clear “Press release” label.
What the Press section is for
The section gives organizations a place to announce news that matters to Canadian dental teams and gives readers one location to find it. It sits alongside Dental Feat’s editorial sections, which cover the Canadian Dental Care Plan, practice growth, practice capital and news analysis. Press releases are not editorial coverage. They are statements by the organization that issued them, and the site labels them that way.
The launch comes at a time of heavy change for clinics. The Canadian Dental Association’s recent assessment of the CDCP, reported by CTV News, describes millions of new patients, administrative strain and about 7,200 vacancies for hygienists and assistants. In that environment, clinics are looking for software, services, training and staffing solutions, and they want to know where those announcements are coming from.
What Dental Feat will consider
The editorial team will review announcements such as:
- product and software launches or major updates for dental practices;
- partnerships, acquisitions and new locations;
- appointments and leadership changes at dental organizations;
- events, conferences, webinars and continuing education programs for dental teams;
- research, surveys and reports about Canadian dentistry;
- association and advocacy news;
- awards and community programs involving dental professionals.
What will not be accepted
- Promotions that read as ads, such as discount offers, coupons or limited-time patient deals.
- Claims that cannot be supported, including superlatives such as “the best” or “the only” without evidence, and guaranteed results.
- Health claims that are unproven, or that conflict with Health Canada requirements for health products.
- Content that promotes products or services that are not lawful in Canada.
- Material that identifies patients without their written consent.
- Content written mainly to place links.
- Anything defamatory, misleading or in breach of another party’s rights.
Clinics should also remember that their provincial dental regulator sets rules for how a practice may advertise. Dental Feat does not provide legal advice, and submitters are responsible for ensuring their announcements comply with the rules that apply to them, including the Competition Act’s prohibition on false or misleading representations.
How to write a release that gets published
Strong submissions are factual, specific and useful to a clinic owner.
- Headline. State the news in plain words, ideally under 70 characters.
- Subhead. One sentence on why it matters.
- Dateline and lead. City, province and date, then who is announcing what, in the first two sentences.
- Details. The what, when, where and how. Include prices, availability and Canadian specifics where relevant.
- A named quote. A real statement from a named person at the organization. Quotes must be genuine and approved by that person.
- Proof. Link to independent sources for any statistic or study. Explain how a survey was conducted if you cite one.
- Why it matters to dental teams. Explain the benefit in practical terms, without hype.
- About the organization. A short boilerplate of 60 to 100 words.
- Media contact. A named person, an email address and a phone number.
A typical release is 400 to 1,200 words. Attach a logo or image only if you own the rights or have permission.
Links and labels
Every press release on Dental Feat is labelled “Press release” at the top of the page. Paid or promotional placements are marked as sponsored where applicable. Links inside press releases are limited and carry the rel=”sponsored” attribute, in line with search engine guidance on paid and promotional links. Dental Feat keeps editorial discretion over anchor text and placement, and does not guarantee search rankings, traffic or other results from publication.
Press releases do not appear in the site’s editorial sections, such as CDCP and News, and are not endorsements. Where a release reports a study or a claim, Dental Feat’s editors may add a note identifying the source or the limits of the evidence.
Review process
The editorial team reads each submission for accuracy, relevance to Canadian dental professionals and compliance with the site’s rules. It may ask for clarification or supporting documents, edit for length or clarity, or decline an announcement without giving a detailed reason. Submitters will receive a reply by email. Dental Feat does not publish a release until the organization has approved the final version.
Submitters confirm that they have authority to release the information, that it is accurate to the best of their knowledge, and that they hold the rights to everything they provide. If an error is found after publication, the release will be corrected or removed.
A short template
Copy this structure into your submission:
Headline: [What is happening, in under 70 characters] Subhead: [One sentence on why it matters to dental teams] Dateline: [City, Province], [Date]. [Organization] today announced [news]. Details: [Who, what, when, where, how, price, availability] Quote: “[Genuine statement],” said [Name], [Title], [Organization]. Why it matters: [Practical benefits for clinics] About [Organization]: [60 to 100 words] Media contact: [Name, email, phone]
Who can submit
The section is open to suppliers of equipment, materials and software, laboratories, financial and professional-service firms that work with dental practices, dental schools and training providers, provincial and national associations, charities, and clinics and dental groups. Organizations outside Canada may submit when the news is relevant to Canadian dental professionals.
Why clear labelling matters
Readers deserve to know who is speaking. A press release is a company’s message, not the publication’s reporting, and the difference should be visible. Dental Feat’s rules reflect that view: separate editorial and paid content, state selection criteria for lists, disclose commercial relationships and correct errors openly.
How to submit
Email your release, any images and your media contact details to [press email address] with the subject line “Press release submission” and the organization’s name. Information about sponsored content and other paid options is available through the Advertise page.
